CapsPlan · iOS App
Last updated: July 2026
CapsPlan stores all data you enter (medications, schedules, history) exclusively on your iPhone by default. No data is transmitted automatically to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.
CapsPlan only connects to the internet for in-app purchases via Apple's StoreKit, the optional camera-based text recognition, and — if you enable it — the optional iCloud backup. All three are described below.
Starting with version 1.4.1, you can enable an optional iCloud backup in Settings. When enabled, a snapshot of your data is stored in your private iCloud account — accessible only through your own Apple ID and your own devices. Neither Dominique Meili nor CapsPlan ever has access to this data; it is not stored or processed on any servers we operate.
This feature is disabled by default and must be actively turned on by you. You can disable it again at any time in Settings. Independently of this, CapsPlan automatically creates local backups on your device that let you restore accidentally deleted data — these also never leave your device.
When you use the scan feature, CapsPlan accesses your iPhone's camera or photo library. The captured image is analyzed locally on the device using Apple's Vision Framework. No image and no recognized text is transmitted to external servers. All processing happens entirely on your device.
CapsPlan can send reminders for intake times. These notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. No communication with external servers takes place; medication or timing data does not leave your device.
The optional Premium upgrade uses Apple's StoreKit. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple. CapsPlan only receives a confirmation that the product has been unlocked — no payment data or personal information. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase process (apple.com/privacy).
CapsPlan contains no advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs, and no cookies. No usage statistics are collected or shared.
Camera / Photo Library: Only for the optional scan feature. Data is not stored beyond the scan session or transmitted.
Notifications: For intake reminders generated locally on your device.
All data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Individual records can be deleted manually within the app. If you've enabled iCloud backup, you can also manage or delete it under your Apple Account in your iPhone's Settings.
Because no personal data is transmitted to the developer, requests for access, correction, or deletion can be fulfilled directly by uninstalling the app or deleting data within the app. For questions contact: dxdotm-coding@outlook.com
This privacy policy may be updated when significant changes are made to the app. The current version is always accessible via the app's settings.
